In 1998 Perry graduated from the University of the Arts with a Bachelor of fine arts in film animation.
McCants was discovered at the New York Jacob K. Javits Convention Center Comic Con in 2008 by Vincent Ferrante of Monarch Comics for a portfolio review. His first work was doing Covers and short story illustrations for his first project, a mini-series titled, “Witch Hunter: Short tales”.
